The women's tennis team invited the golf team to a pumpkin carving contest. A third judge was brought in to help decide the winner. It was determined we have two very creative and talented teams! Christine and Jade from tennis paired with Amy from golf to create the winning pumpkin. I think the judges were swayed by the pumpkin gut hair and lipstick.

INVITE SHOWS STRENGTH OF TEAM
Wow, what an exciting weekend! The BG Invite showed nine other teams what we are made of this year! Every player on the team added to the excitment. Christine gave Akron's #1 player a tough second set in the finals of the first flight. With open blisters on her hands and feet Sam won two out of her three extremely long three setters to finish 2nd in her flight.
Freshman Maddy proved she is not a little fish in a big pond while the even keeled Jade Johnson showed some fist pumping action to win her flight. Last but not least, Katie did not pull a Serena after a disappointing referee call that ended her chance for third place!
Katia, Jessica, and Mary proved their hard work is paying off. While everyone displayed their strengths we also saw what we needed to work on to be at the top! Look out MAC!
